SEQUENCE is a web based application developed with the .NET framework and using Microsoft technologies.

SEQUENCE has a multi-tiered, service oriented architecture to facilitate system integration and extensibility.

SEQUENCE Architecture

Presentation Layer

The User Interface for process operation (runtime) is implemented in MS SharePoint but can be easily consumed by a .NET application by re-using the ASP.NET controls in the SEQUENCE Workflow Engine.

Service and Business Logic Layers

The Service and Business Layers collectively form the SEQUENCE Workflow Engine, a set of self-describing, loosely coupled services.

Data Layer

SEQUENCE use MS SQL Server for storing data related to workflow template definitions and workflow instances.
Both can be accessed and manipulated with SQL.

Technologies

SEQUENCE is developed with the .NET framework and uses Microsoft technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Workflow Foundation, and Microsoft SharePoint.
